Lori Kuhns is a vice president of Navigators based out of the Washington, D.C., office.

Ms. Kuhns joined Navigators in 2003 and oversees the firm’s business operations. Ms. Kuhns teams with the firm’s president and managing principal to facilitate the general administration and financial management of the firm, where her responsibilities include the supervision of accounting, human resources, information technologies, special events and facilities. She also serves as Navigators' corporate secretary.

Ms. Kuhns has more than 20 years of experience in government relations project management, administrative services and event planning. Immediately prior to joining Navigators, Ms. Kuhns served in a number of senior level administrative positions in the financial services and insurance industry.

While employed by a former general counsel of the Oklahoma Insurance Department, Ms. Kuhns created an administrative process for the application for certificate of authority of a major Oklahoma life, health, property and casualty insurance company, as well as revamping its filing and approval process of policy forms in more than 30 states. She authored a resource study guide to aide prospective financial services staff and insurance agents in the preparation of obtaining and renewing their licenses.

Ms. Kuhns attended Oklahoma State University and is an active volunteer for various political campaigns at the state and local levels.
