
Trent Wisecup is a vice president of Navigators.
Mr. Wisecup has more than 15 years of experience in providing senior level communications counsel to elected officials, candidates, corporations and trade associations.
Prior to joining Navigators, Mr. Wisecup served as the chief of staff to Congressman Joe Knollenberg of Michigan. From 2004-2006, Mr. Wisecup served as political director to Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) and executive director of the Commonwealth PAC. In this position, Mr. Wisecup laid the initial foundation of Governor Romney’s presidential campaign.
In 2003, Mr. Wisecup headed up opposition research on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s (R-CA) gubernatorial campaign. From 2001-2002, he served as vice president at the political consulting firm Murphy Pintak Gautier Hudome and consulted on Senator Lamar Alexander’s (R-TN) and Congresswoman Heather Wilson’s (R-NM) victorious campaigns. In 2000, Mr. Wisecup served as press secretary on Senator Spence Abraham’s (R-MI) reelection campaign.
In addition to his political work, Mr. Wisecup has designed and managed strategic communications campaigns for several of the leading industry coalitions in the country, including the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, United States Chamber of Commerce, Nuclear Energy Institute and the American Council of Life Insurers.
Mr. Wisecup is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.
