Trent Wisecup is a principal of Navigators Global. 

Mr. Wisecup has nearly 20 years of experience in providing senior level communications counsel to elected officials, candidates, corporations and trade associations.

Most recently, he served as a senior political advisor to former eBay CEO Meg Whitman's gubernatorial campaign in California. Mr. Wisecup managed the Whitman campaign’s $9 million outreach program to Latinos.

In 2010, Mr. Wisecup also served as a political consultant to Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete's re-election campaign. He was also part of the consultant team on Congressman Dan Lungren's (R-CA) successful re-election campaign and served an advisor to the Republican National Committee.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wisecup served as the chief of staff, legislative director and communications director to Congressman Joe Knollenberg (R-MI) over a course of 6 years.

From 2004-2006, Mr. Wisecup was a senior political advisor to Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) and the Executive Director of his political action committee.

In 2003, Mr. Wisecup headed up opposition research and rapid response on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s (R-CA) gubernatorial campaign.  From 2001-2002, he served as vice president at the political consulting firm Murphy Pintak Gautier Hudome and consulted on U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander’s (R-TN) and U.S. Representative Heather Wilson’s (R-NM) victorious campaigns. In 2000, Mr. Wisecup served as press secretary on U.S. Senator's Spence Abraham’s (R-MI) reelection campaign.

In addition to his political work, Mr. Wisecup has designed and managed strategic communications campaigns for several Fortune 500 companies, trade associations and coalitions, including General Motors, Wal-Mart,  American Petroleum Institute, Coalition for a Democratic Workplace, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Nuclear Energy Institute, United Defense, Air Transport Association of America, Financial Services Coordinating Council and American Council of Life Insurers.

Mr. Wisecup is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.
